As a cinematographer for documentaries and feature films, I travel the world in search of stories worth telling. Yet, a surprising amount of my journey takes place in the stillness of traffic jams.
In these everyday pauses, I find unexpected inspiration. Each brief encounter at a standstill feels like an intense, fleeting connection—an opportunity to experience places, moods, and atmospheres that I might miss if I were rushing by. There’s a surprising closeness and authenticity to these moments, as if each person I glimpse is sharing a small part of their world.
In that split second, I capture what I see, transforming these encounters into photographs. "Traffic Jamming" is my ongoing series, dedicated to the beauty found in those unplanned, shared moments on the road.
